Annual Traditional Wrestling Championship – 2023–2024 21st March 2024
The 2023–2024 edition of the Annual Wrestling Championship organized by Sinhgad Foundation witnessed record-breaking participation, solidifying its status as one of the premier rural sports events in Pune district. For the first time, the event was held over two days, allowing for extended match time and better crowd management.
The championship received live coverage on local media channels and was also broadcast on YouTube, reaching thousands of viewers beyond the physical location. This expansion brought greater visibility to the sport of mitti kushti and highlighted the rising enthusiasm for traditional wrestling across rural Maharashtra.
